and Screech is the Principal, who would you like to be his adminstrative assistant? The choices are all of the cast members from seasons 1-6 of "The New Class."
By the way, it would be a brand new series, with a new title. I just put "The New Class" in the thread title, so people wouldn't think it was a new show with the original cast. My choice for the new administrative assistant would be Tommy De Luca. I know he moved to Florida and had no interest in coming back to Bayside as an administrative assistant. But I always liked Screech and Tommy D together. Plus, Tommy is like Screech. When he began, he was just a little dumb. But by the third season, Tommy was a total dummy. Whereas Screech started off a little weird and became a freak of nature. So Tommy would get dumber each season in the new show as well. My back up choice is Eric Little. But he, like Tommy, probably wouldn't ever go back to Bayside. He's probably off working on his singing career. Anyways, who would you want to be Principal Powers' administrative assistant? |

It's possible there will be a new New Class for '06-'07. I doubt it, but it'll be interesting to see if they bring back TNBC now that they're getting rid of the Discovery Kids programs.
Discovery, NBC to end Saturday kids TV deal By Andrew Wallenstein LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC and Discovery Networks are ending their four-year arrangement to program the Saturday-morning kids programming block. The network is pulling the plug on Discovery Kids in September, ending the rent-out of the block to the cable company, which provided series recycled from its Discovery Kids channel, including "Darcy's Wild Life" and "Flight 29 Down." NBC and Discovery confirmed they were no longer in negotiations, but declined further comment. "We were delighted with the partnership with NBC and it helped us build our brand in amazing ways," said a Discovery spokesman. "It made sense to focus our efforts on the channel now." The NBC-Discovery break-up, though deemed amicable by sources, is the second such parting between partners on Saturdays. In January, CBS and Nickelodeon disclosed they were dropping their "Nick on CBS" co-venture in September after seven years together. Nick will be replaced by a block supplied by DIC Entertainment. It was not known how NBC plans to program Saturday mornings come fall or if any new strategy will be in place. Prior to carrying the Discovery Kids block, NBC ran three hours of teen-oriented programming under the TNBC banner, including "Saved By the Bell." Still buddying up on Saturdays for now is Fox Broadcasting Co. with 4Kids Entertainment, Cartoon Network with WB, and Disney Channel with ABC. Under the arrangement, Discovery is believed to have ponied up between $7 million-$10 million per season to put its programming on NBC, which did not get a cut of the advertising revenues. Since signing a three-year deal with Discovery in December 2001, NBC added a one-year renewal in 2005 that expires in September. Season to date, Discovery Kids block has been down just one-tenth of a rating point among kids 6-11, kids 2-11 and tweens 9-14 compared to the same period a year ago. The parting isn't likely to affect Discovery Kids programming, which will continue to run on the cable channel. Its distribution has doubled to 40 million since 2001. Reuters/Hollywood Reporter |

This is good news. I hated that they got rid of TNBC, kids need real tv shows...not shows about room makeovers.
