Talking Fav. Character?

Mine would have to be oh, what's her name, Arlene? (Haven't watched in a while) that works at the clinic. And Dryfus the dog.

Greg here...
I couldn't say I have many favorite guest stars, but I could rank the regulars...it was a tough call, but this is ultimately what I came up with. There aren't any characters I dislike, just the order of the ones I like the most, from there:

#1: Charley
I guess, being a man, I can relate to him better. I think he's hilarious and probably the most like me. His sexual adventures and mooching can get out of hand, but he's surprisingly sensitive a lot.

#2: Laverne
How can you not like Laverne? Funniest one in the show (with the possible exception of Charley--my opinion), loaded with Hickory stories and southern humor that never disappoints you. It's even funny the way she bosses Harry and Maxine around.

#3: Harry
Main character--the one most of the stories revolve around. Harry's kind, good-hearted, caring, even plays father figure to Charley and Laverne when they need him.

#4: Barbara
The extremely fun one--another one that's a lot like me. She likes to spend a lot of money, meet a lot of people friendly and romantically, she even likes to beat guys at belching. She never disappoints me either.

#5: Patrick
Patrick, the artist, who is only there for one season. I liked him pretty well from the start, there just weren't enough episodes about him.

#6: Carol
Carol is sometimes as funny as the others, but honestly, she's less my type. She saddens me when she can't get a date, and almost annoys me sometimes when she gets too much into expressing herself. Too bad she's not more optimistic.

#7: Maxine
Another one that should have lasted longer. Maxine (and Sophia) first show up at Season Six, and take off from there. Maxine's really funny, and any scenes with her and Laverne are guaranteed to be hysterical, but...we should have met her earlier.

#8 and 9: Sophia and Emily
Sophia we know from The Golden Girls, mostly just gave us temporarily funny one-liners, but didn't retain as high as status this time. Emily I kind of know, but I've only seen her in one episode. She seems fun, but I need to know more about her.

My favorite is definitely Carol. I'm a big fan of Dinah Manoff. Carol was a little uptight during the first two seasons but got funnier and more outrageous as time went on.

Other favorites include Laverne (I can definitely relate to her, being from a small rural town myself), Barbara, and Maxine.

I thought Charley was hilarious, but I'm not sure if he was my favorite character. It would be a toss up between him and Harry though.

Barbara (Kristi MacNichol)

I thought the show fell apart after she left.

Carol - she was always my favorite. I think I'm partial to nutcases!

Barbara was my next favorite!!! -then of course, LAVERNE!

My favorite character (from my limited memory) is Park Overall's character Nurse LaVerne Todd.

I liked Carol.

Like the one time Barbara's co-female police worker wanted to come over to visit and Barbara was all excited she is finally coming over to see my collection of back scratchers, and Carol said I don't think she is comming over to see your collection of back scratchers. Carol meant the other female liked Barbara. Only to find out the other Lady was running for the same thing as Barbara on the police force and she only came over to get secrects about Barbara.

Then I liked Charlie.

The time Carol asked how Charlie can stay out all night. He said I come home and snooze until 2 and then I can go all night.
Carol says my God Charlie how can you live with yourself and how can you waste your day like that when there is so much that needs to be done. Charlie replies all I have to do is think if I am a sleep when your awake I don't have to look at you. Carol gasps.

Did not like the Guy Carol dated near the last few seasons, the one that used to work on Weston's house.

Did not find Emily Funny at all.

Carol: Charlie don't you ever knock before you come in
Charlie Why? should I, would you be getting dressed if I did?

Carol Charlie don't you ever buy your own food?
Charlie Why should I when your refidgerator is full and it cost me nothing.

Laverne: I remember a time back in Hickory
Harry: Here we go with the Hickory stories
Lavern: What was that?
Harry: Oh nothing and smiles and mumbles continue.
