Default Question if you listen to Sports Talk Radio

Is it annoying when someone calls in and talks about Sports that's in it's offseason? Like this guy calls in tonight to talk about Baseball, a sport that's 2 months away. College Basketball, NHL and the NBA are the only sports in my opinion that should be talked about in the month of February

I disagree. Hardcore fans of a certain sport still have an interest in it when the particular season isn't going on. The offseason can affect a sport just as much as during the season. It's understandable that a baseball fan, knowing that the season is right around the corner, would want to talk about expectations for the upcoming season. Baseball is really starting this week. Mets and Yankees pitchers and catchers report to spring training camp today, so someone calling in to talk about baseball in mid-February shouldn't be annoying. That's where the term hot stove baseball came from.

Well the fact that the sixers just beat the spurs in OT last night, every call was about that game. Then all of a sudden, some fool calls in about the phillies. He killed the entire FLOW of sixers talk-lol Now if he wanted to talk about the phillies it could have been during the day but not RIGHT after a OT win by the 76ers. No one wanted to hear about the phillies at that point

Okay, I understand now. You didn't specify that before. I agree, a postgame situation like that it should be about whatever game was played. I'll admit, not being an NFL fan, it bothers me sometimes in the summer when they devote time to talk about football when all I want to hear about is baseball, or the NBA playoffs. If someone calls in about football I can accept that, but if it's a situation where they'll have a football player or coach on as a guest talking about football, I lose interest and prefer if that talk about the main sports going on. So I guess I agree a little bit, but hearing about baseball in the middle of February doesn't bother me at all.

I don't mind talking about baseball 24/7.
