Did anyone else ever know this about George Jeffersons's Dance? I sure Didn't - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The dance that he was always doing on the show was called the "SLOP DANCE". This was something I found out from a co-worker and after trying to confirm it on the Internet it was defintely the Slop Dance. No one could Slop better than George-lol

I always knew that Sherman had said that by the time he started doing it, it was past its time, but he did it anyway.

I did know that he taught himseld how to dance by watching American Bandstand in the 50's
