I think it was the one where the gangsters who had been caught by Muldoon's father years before got together and tried to re-enact the gold robbery, hoping they would make no mistakes!I loved the contrast between their early robbery-job and their bungling re-enactment 43 years later.

My favorite is the episode where Toody buys a wig for Lucille, but Sylvia Schnauser thinks Toody's having an affiar, and plans to kill Lucille--that's it in a nutshell, but the actual plot is SO much more intricate than that!

I liked the show where a gang of criminals saw a crime-show and got the ideas for their jobs from there.Gunther was seeing the same show,so the day after the crimes were comitted,he could solve the cases.

A great show. I think the best episode was when Gunther passed himself off as a crook and "assisted" a gang in pulling off bank robberies. I think besides his shout of "Cops" to warn his "gang" that there was a trap, the funniest part was when he was told to rob a certain bank over the phone from Capt Block, and then he tried to say it over and over again so he could remember, but then heard a jingle on a radio commercial and picked the wrong bank for his "gang" to rob. Classic stuff! MSG Metro, please put this show back on...

My favorite episode is the one where Toody thinks it's the tenth anniversary of his partnership with Muldoon (it isn't). When he reminds Francis that "the special day is here", Muldoon has no idea what Gunther is talking about. Muldoon then tries to guess over and over again "what day it is", to no avail. Francis then asks Leo Schnauser, who doesn't know either, but doesn't want to admit it. Leo begins asking other people, who also don't know, but bluff their way around it. Soon, the whole station is in an uproar getting ready, renting tuxedos, and arranging for rides to the "Big Event" (even though no one knows what it is). By the end of the episode, even the Governor of New York is on the radio making a speech about the Police Department's "Special Day".

"Toody Undercover". That's my favorite episode too, by far! Don't forget the moment when Gunther loses himself and says, "Cops! Let's get out of here!"

I love all the episodes. That's why I believe this series should come out on DVD!

I Hate Captain Block - Toody accidentally teaches Captain Block's bird to say "I Hate Captain Block."

Pretzel Mary - Toody and Muldon throw out Pretzel Mary's furniture without knowing it was stuffed with money.

I would love to see these episodes and the entire series again!! Great dialogue.
