The only thing I'm interested in is the Slam Dunk Contest because Nate Robinson is in it.

I'm always more interested in the Saturday events (rookie/sophomore game, 3 point shootout, slam dunk) than the main Sunday game, but I'll probably watch it all.

I think Josh Smith of Atlanta Hawks is gonna win the dunk contest. He did some tight dunks last year at slam dunk contest. I wish Lebron would've entered the dunk contest. I always watch all star weekend.

The slam dnk contest is for NBA players who are trying to make a name for themselves in the NBA. Players who are already established as a Star in the NBA like Lebron don't need to enter the Slam Dunk Contest |

How you figure Lebron doesn't need to be in the dunk contest because he's a star? Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins were in the dunk contests back in the day when they were already stars. So was Clyde Drexler, Vince Carter, Ron Harper. Being a star has nothin to do with being in the dunk contest. Lebron is probably scared to be in the dunk contest because he thinks he'll probably mess up and embarrass himself.

Wrong, Jordan didn't become a star until after he WON the dunk contest. Same thing with Vince Carter. He was a big name in the NBA until after he won the Dunk contest |

That will all change because only rookies, 2nd year, and 3rd year players are allowed in the dunk contest. |

I disagree with you Solomon. Jordan and Vince were stars before they won the dunk contest.

Jordan came into the league as a star, didn't he? His first pair of sneakers came out in 1985, his second year in the league.

Vince Carter became a star after his performance in the 2001 playoffs by helping the Raptors beat the Knicks in Game 5 at the Garden and taking the number 1 seed 76ers to Game 7 and almost winning
