It sure has been awhile since season 2 came out. The series release seems to have stalled for some reason.

(I didn't read the thing about the rice and don't plan to).

I should have paid these prices for the sets. Unfortunately, I paid more since I went to a local virgin megastore. I didn't want to wait for shipment.

Is it worth buying the DVD sets? I'd love to be able to watch these whenever I want to, but I'm a little leary about buying them. Are there any extras or anything like that? Any "warnings" like editing, no closed captioning, etc?

There are no extras except for the pilot on season one which has different actors playing Ward and Wally.

Now if they would only finish this series.

Hi all, obviously since the last post, the rest of Leave It To Beaver has been released. Now, given the absence of the word 'Complete' on Seasons 3-6, are those seasons cut on DVD?

I purchased the entire series. In my opinion Wally is the funniest character.

Does anyone own the Blu-ray? Is it worth the upgrade?

I don't know about the Blu-rays but on the DVD's the episodes seem to be mostly uncut.

An episode from season 3, titled School Sweater, that one I believe might have a little snippet missing from it from early on in the episode. Don't know why there would be an edit unless there was some film/print damage and a few seconds of the episode had to be edited out.

Shout Factory messed up the season 1 DVD's, episode opening credits were placed before the opening teasers. Universal's season 1 DVD set is done correctly and that's the one to have.

On the DVD's, season 3 is also the most varied with regards to episode run times. Run times vary from about 25 minutes to about 26 minutes. I don't know of any edits to the shorter episodes, the 25 minute ones, except maybe for the little edit in the School Sweater episode.
