From the very first time I seen this episode back in the 70's to this day, whenever I see the character played by Greg Evigan (BJ and the Bear) I shudder at the thought of him wanting JULIE OVER BARBARA!!!!!!! It annoys the hell outta me that he would want that over Barbara. He dissed her soooo bad on top of that.

Funny, I too remember watching that episode as a 13 year old male who was madly "in love" with a massive TV crush on Valerie (Barbara Cooper) and thinking what an idiot this guy is to want Julie over Barbara.........btw....it's nice you try and keep this board alive.....us "One Day" fans need to stick together, I'm afraid I have given up all hope that we will see a DVD release.

He appeared in a two-part episode (around 1977 or 1978) and played a singer in a rock band. Julie and Barbara were battling over him.

I had a dream a few weeks back that it was released on DVD. Oh what a disappointment it was to wake up that day and discover it was just a dream. I even emailed Comcast asking them if they could offer the eps as downloads on their website like Aol does with in2tv but they don't have plans to do that yet at this time.

I found out you can't make copies of those eps that are on AOL so what good is it? And the first season of One Day at a Time is Complete on Comcast On Demand and I am Happy-lol

It's good because you can at least still watch the shows. Right now I have no hope of seeing One Day at a time again.

I think something might be up. On Comcast they started season two with the fifth episode about David's new job. Sony had to purposely withold the first four episodes of Season 2 where Julie runs away. Those have to be the most popular episodes of all. Maybe there will be a DVD yet. It sounds sneaky to me.

Yeah it seems odd that they wouldn;t start with eps 201-204. But I think they will add those after 206 like they did on diffrent strokes when they went forward and then backward again

Yes, all of the nerdy David episodes . I'm waiting to see an episode with Mary Louise Wilson. I probably haven't watched an episode with her for twenty years. She is in the 2nd season isn't she?

Yup, the 76-77 season. TV Guide Fall Preview of 76 stated-"One Day at a Time will have less of an old neighbor(Richard Masur) and more of a new one (Mary Louise Wilson)".
