Everytime I log on I still get these Damm pop-ups. I'm just afraid that they may have viruses andcrash my computer, I'm getting sick of it so please tell me how to get rid of these pop ups once and for all, I have tried almost everything to get rid of them , Ih ave DL some programs but, after 30 days you have to pay for it and I do have firefox,,but that don't seem to get rid of any either, please help, I won't come here as often, i really do like this site. I have been to other boards and I have never got any pop-ups, but why here? And it's all the time when I logg in on SO.

what do these pop-ups look like or say?
what "programs" are you referring to that you have installed? have you installed SpywareBlaster, Spybot Seek & Destroy, AdAware, and the Adblock extension for firefox? (you can also import a set of filters for Adblock) have you tried to run HijackThis! to check for any other Spyware or viruses? can you post a log for me here? |

Please try to run Hijack this and give me a log so I can see what is going on in your system. |

I was getting popups recently too, so I re-installed Ad-Aware+ and ran it. Sure enough....it detected four "critical items", and I deleted them.
+:I had to re-install it after using System Recovery to get my computer back after a virus sneaked through (I have Norton's antivirus program on my computer) somehow. |

I get the same casamedia pop-ups whenever I log in to the site as well. Only when I click on the log-in, though

this site may be producing a single popup when you log-on to the site, but that should be it, and if you are using firefox with adblock and a hosts file installed you shouldn't even see that.
I have never used any pop-up blocker and I have never once seen a popup ad in firefox. |

Yeah you might have some Adware installed on your computer, that's why you are getting so many pop-ups.
