Out of curiosity, do you perfer BJ w/or without his mustache? Why? Also, does anybody know for certain why he suddenly grew a mustache? Was it Mike just wanting one, or did the producers of MASH want one for a reason?

I felt compelled to vote for B.J. with the mustache since I have one myself. I read somewhere that the mustache was actually Alan Alda's idea. A way to make B.J. more distinct from Trapper John and to establish another character point about B.J. other than the initials.

Why am I not surprised...

I bet it was his idea to kill off Henry Blake, have Klinger stop wearing dresses, and basically sucking all the fun out of the show too. They never should have let that guy get control of that show. He was on ER for a little while. I bet he's responsible for the downfall of that show too!

Yeah, me too! Trapper and Hawkeye were a lot goofier together, which I prefer to the Hawkeye-like self-righteousness of B.J.. I should clarify, that is B.J. after the mustache. Before that he was a lot more interesting.
