I thought it was stupid of Wilona to offer to give up the tape recorder to Penny's momma. Regardless of what Penny wanted, the courts could have easily ruled in the favor of Penny's biological mother. That tape recorder was the only ammunition Wilona had!

It was really Penny who offered the tape recorder and yes, it was idiotic for her to do that.

It was stupid for Willona and Penny to offer the tape recorder back to Penny's natural mother. I was so mad watching that episode especially that guy pretending to be so in love with Willona. That party scene made me so mad. I thought what a jerk he was to go along with that. I was glad that Penny knew who her real mom is. I was definitely cheering for Willona.

Well, the man was being paid. There's a price for everything. Willona didn't want to give the tape back, only Penny. And it was foolish for Penny's mom to think she could get Penny back. Penny was legally adopted. And let's say that the courts did feel that Willona was a bad mother for the party, etc. They wouldn't turn around and give Penny back to her natural mother. She would have been put in foster care.

And it hurt Penny's mom more then anything to see that Penny didn't want to be with her. So I doubt that Penny's mom would have tried to get Penny back after what Penny had said. Her face said it all, it was a done deal at that point.
