i came across a thread somewhere that stated that Senator Trafficant ( who was interviewed for the Frank Olson story ) is in some kind of trouble....

Only if you consider a long jail term as trouble.

Traficant is a nutcase. House member, not a senator. He was always making weird speeches on the House floor and his voting pattern made no sense. Often it looked like he voted against the grain of expectation just to win publicity for himself.

Several years ago he was convicted of ten felony counts including bribery, racketeering and tax evasion. He represented himself and the consensus was he made a fool out of himself by screaming at everyone and turning the proceedings into a mockery. After conviction he was expelled from the House by a near-unanimous vote. Last I heard, Traficant and his ridiculous hairstyle were still running for office even while in jail.
