.....what paid for Fred and Lamont to get home from St. Louis. Lamont mentioned that they barley had enough to cover the plane tickets back home. Since they didn't get the $1500 that they thought they would be getting, who funded them in getting back?

The cost of the pane tickets came out of what was left from the $1500 *after* the funeral expenses were paid.
