A few miscellaneous typos/errors I overlooked in my previous pasting/posting of the episode log/list--

"The Play's the Thing" telecast on 29-May-1953 is episode production code #037, not the #036 that I mis-typed. ("Who's Walter" telecast on 12-June-1953 *IS* #036 as shown in the list).

The episode telecast on 27-Feb-1957 is spelled "the Disbelievers" - I mis-typed it with the 'i' and the 'e' transposed. (Episode production code number unknown -- it is either #133 or #145).

"Night Watchman" telecast on 15-May-1957 is indicated with the *wrong* episode production code #156. It is *supposed* to be #167. ("the Duenna" telecast on 06-Feb-1957 *IS* #156 as shown in the list).

In the 9th (1960/61) telecast season, I indicated "a Sweater for Ricky" telecast on 09-Nov-1960, episode production sequence #282 as being "delayed from 8th season". This episode is *NOT* delayed from 8th season, but the episode telecast a week earlier on 02-Nov-1960, production code #275, "the Table and the Painting" *IS* "delayed from 8th season" but is not indicated as such on the list.

In the summary details on the 10th (1961/62) telecast season, I indicate "32 (new) episodes..." as being telecast (not counting rerun telecasts). That *should* read "25 (new) episodes..."

"Cafe Caper" telecast on 30-Dec-1964 is indicated with episode production sequence #380. That is another typo, and it *should* be #388. ("Wally's TV Set" is the actual #380 which was telecast on 26-Feb-1964).

I now need to start transcribing into a .txt file (and also saving as a .doc file) the chronology/logging of the RADIO production of "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet".

I don't have all of the episode titles, though, especially none for the early seasons.

I will put an overall summary of the radio production and broadcast history -- there are some 401 (potential) broadcast weeks, but not necessarily 401 individual episodes, because in the later years some may have been repeats of earlier episodes previously aired but also recorded on 16" acetate transcription disks, or there may have been a pre-emption here or there...

The first five seasons (airing on CBS Radio and NBC Radio at different times) was sponsored by International Silver Company - the 1944/45 through 1948/49 seasons.

The final five seasons (all on ABC Radio) was sponsored by Heinz-57 Varieties Food Products.

(Ozzie and Harriet never did run on the Mutual Broadcasting System radio network, though).

The Radio version of "Ozzie & Harriet" always took a "Summer Hiatius", with 'Summer Replacement' series in its time-slot, usually sponsored by the same company. During the "International Silver Company" years of the first five seasons, the Summer Replacement was usually known as "Silver Summer Theater" or "Silver Theater Revue".

Do the original 35mm negatives of the episodes still exist, and if so, who owns them...Ozzie's estate? I'm not sure if I've ever seen a rerun of O&H over the past 20 years or so that wasn't a horrible, spliced-up, 16mm reduction print.

Many thanks to Mr. Cuccina for his list. I do the “Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” page at tvtome.com. I started researching O & H almost 25 yrs ago. Hard to believe now...

Someone had sent me your list so I incorporated what you have, with what I have, and somehow I hope we can get a complete 435 episode list together. I have some detailed credits on certain episodes, and critiques/synopses that I have written too. A good source for the rerun titles is NY Times and LA Times TV page listings. I do have a large number of the rerun titles for the last few years of the series.

When I have time, I will add some more tidbits that I have and with what you have just posted, we’ll get be that much closer to a complete list. Now I need to go through everything I have again and re-sift the information and collate it. Much of my information has come from TV station syndication package info, as well as I have an original AIP-TV syndication list. Newspaper listings have also helped, among other pieces found here and there.

Some of the information that augments yours is on the tvtome.com page. Also see “Viewers Comments” part of the O & H page where I have written up some comments and questions about filling in the gaps in the episode list.

I do have the airdate for the Ozzies Girls pilot on NBC. Just not at my fingertips right now. I believe it was in Sept. 1972.

To answer some other Q’s here - David Nelson supposedly has the materials. Many years ago, I bought some 16mm prints from a collector who claimed they had come from D.N. and that David was throwing out extra prints. Whether just the 35 negs were kept -- ? -- who knows. I never saw the Disney Channel run so I cannot say what those prints, or video transfers, looked like.

There are also a few episodes in the collection of the Library of Congress. A check of their web site will list them for you. If I recall correctly, they have 16mm prints.

I'm not sure who distributes the show these days.... it went into syndication in 1968 , distributed by American International Pictures' tv arm.

Also - it should be noted that I have not found any evidence to suggest that ALL 435 episodes have been in syndication at one time or another, or constantly since '68. In fact, my research shows that nearly half the episodes have never been syndicated and can be considered "lost episodes".

I don’t get GoodLife TV (formerly Nostalgia Channel) so I cannot say what they look like on there now, either. Can someone give us a report? I’m very curious as to whether they cut shows on this channel. TV LAND is notorious for cutting shows, so I hope O & H never ends up on there.

Local stations where I have seen the show over the years, tend to show any old episode - there’s no rhyme or reason as to which seasons they show, the order they show them in, etc. (Good Life tends to be showing the early episodes, that’s all I can say about them) I’ve seen local stations typically showing the first few years and the wives years - very little, if any, episodes from the middle years.
