Ratings for ABP for 1982-83 season - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Just some interesting facts. When "Archie Bunker's Place" was cancelled in the spring of 1983, it finished #23 in the ratings with an 18.3 rating. Currently, American Idol which qualifies as the No. 1 series on TV right now is earning ratings of 17.0 to 17.2. That means if ABP were on today and carried that same kind of rating, it would be hands down the No. 1 show on TV.

Well we really don;t know that because ABP would have been going up against different competition than what it went up against during the 1982-83 season.
