I HAVE A RECORDING PROGRAM INSTALLED IN MY COMPUTER.CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE BEST RECORDING SETING AND WHAT FORMATT,,SEE SCREEN SHOT RECORDING I MADE OF THE PROGRAM I HAVE...im trying to record from tv to my computer and get the best picture..best recording....USE LINK,,,

well, it is really dependant on several things
1- your computer...how fast, how much memory, the card itself (what type/brand?) 2- the capture card is it hardware based, does it rely on software for the compression or is it a mix of both 3-The software capturing program itself. If you can provide that information it would be helpful. |

THE NAME OF THE PROGRAM IS IN THE LINK..GOT 2 GGS OF MEMORY,MIX OF BOTH I THINK.. MY COMPUTER IS SPECIAL BUILT..ITS VERY FAST WITH 500 HARD DRIVE SPACE

Your computer *should* be fast enough to record Mpeg-2. The only problem is the the Winfast is that compression is done via the software which can cause issues unlike a card using the hardware like some of the Hauppauge cards or ATI cards. I had this same card set up in a computer with a 1.5GHZ and 1GB of RAM and capturing in MPEG-2 sometimes caused audio/video sync issues. You are goint to have to play around with it and see what works best for you. Mpeg-2 is for dvd authoring and resolution can be 720*480 OR 352*240. good luck
(mpeg-1 is for VCD, uncompressed avi will result in a HUGE file which you will have to convert for DVD) |
