Is Roseanne Gay?? Just a question... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ok, I have nothing against homosexuals but I'm wondering if Roseanne is. I noticed at the very last seasons that there were a whole lot of gay references. I mean Leon & his boyfriend, Nancy becoming gay,The ep where Roseanne & Jackie go to a gay bar, Leon & his boyfriend's wedding, then in the last episode.. it's stated that Jackie is gay. Then it seemed like later in the seasons, you can tell Roseanne's hate for men. She always seem to down them & say that men were incapable of anything & that women were superior. I was just wondering on other people's opinions & did they pick up on this??

Oh I just wanted to know... I know it doesn't make her a bad person. Just that I got the impression that perhaps she is..

nope, Roseanne is very straight, she just has a lot of friends who are gay and she even credits gays and lesbians as the audience that discovered and loved her long before she caught onto the mainstream, so there's always been a little bit of a bond between Roseanne and the gay community, and having so many gay and lesbian characters on her show was her way of saying that she hasn't forgotten them.

I enjoyed the interactions between the gay character Leon and Roseanne. He couldn't stand roseanne-lol

Also Jackie being Gay reflects on her real life sister who is a lesbian. If you think about it alot of people in Roseanne where gay or in Gay situations...

Roseanne - Got kissed by a women and was a lumber jack for halloween (Not sure if this counts)
Dan - Gay Halloween Prank to Roseanne
David - Made fun of alot by Mark and DJ (Not sure if this counts)
Jackie - Was Gay All Along
Fred - Had lots of Gay Friends, Halloween Prank
Leon - Gay
Fred - Gay
Nacny - Lesbian
Bev - Outed fer self after many years

Yeah that's true and she has this "This is me and if you don't like it that's too bad--deal with it" philosophy about life, so if she was, then I would think she would have come out already if she was.

Nope Roseanne dressing as a lumberjack has nothing to do with being gay, it would have to do with crossdressing

I never saw anything to lead me to believe that Roseanne was gay. She was obviously in love with Dan.
