Default Did Julie have a behavior probem?

Julie was always in a bad mood and shrieking when there was no reason to be angry. Was she a sociopath or something? Ann should have taken her for counseling. If the show was on today they could make episode with Julie or Ann needing some Prozac or something.

Ann should've done Lisa Whelchel's "hot saucing" techinque when Julie started to open that mouth of hers.

I am beginning to wonder if when the character of Julie was yelling, screaching, mad, angry, etc. if that was damn good acting or was it the effects of Mackenzie doing drugs???? I mean, we know now she had a drug problem then, and later on in the years, so it made me think just the other day, was she that good at acting? was she overacting? was she overacting and on drugs? get what I am saying?

I think alot of it had to do with the drugs. She was so believable as an angry, miserable teenager.

She probably just got the drugs for free from her father John Phillips.

Actually she did. He encouraged the behavior and never was a father. He was a "friend" according to her.

Well during season 1 I guess it was just acting because I don' think the drug problem had started yet. I saw Mackenzie Phillips as a Guest on the Jacksons Variety Show and she looked GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!-lol I guess they just made her look unattractive for the show because she looked like a completely different character on The Jacksons Variety Show

ANN ROMANO: "Barbara, you're a very nice girl."
BARBARA: "I don't want to BE a nice girl -- I want to be like JULIE!"
