I wonder why J.J. (or K.K.) didn't say "Hey, Miss Ghostley. Why did you quit your loan job and became a children's service worker withh bad corns?"

I found hard to believe that her character was drunk on egg nog and decided to let Willona adopt Penny just like that. I'd be like she better come out of her stupor first and give me a real rational answer with a straight mind!!!

I don't think she was drunk I think that she was tipsy and just having a good time. I'm sure Wilona would have called her up to get the details on the adoption. She would've had to go see a judge and sign papers.

A woman who was tipsy shouldn't be judging who is a good parent or not. She wouldn't be in her right mind to make an important judgment call.

Yeah, but Willona then said there was no recording. I think something more than a paper necklace should be reviewed before making your final decision on an adoption.

I think that Mrs. Dobbs saw that Penny had a good home and was loved. That wasn't the first time that she had been at the Evans' or Wilona's home. And just because a case worker says that they will grant you adoption doesn't mean that it will go through. There's a lot to adopting a child, it's a long process.
