What season was it - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi All:

I have a favorite episode of Growing Pains but I am not sure what season it is in. I believe it is one of the beginning ones. The episode was about Ben using his Mom's new wet/dry vacuum. It messed up the kitchen pretty well. Does anyone know what season it was or what the title is of the episode? Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Two episodes that come to mind:
1. "The Home Show" - Season 5. I think it was Mike who uses the vacuum cleaner to try and clean up the mess around the kitchen, ready for the guests to arrive.
2. "The Big Fix" - Season 7. I think Ben and his friend were goofing around with the vacuum.

I'm not sure if I am on the right track.

Yeah, that was actually during the last season if I remember right. Ben and a friend (an all grown-up Dudley from Diff'rent Strokes) screwed around with a vaccuum that Maggie was going to test live on tv. It allegedly could pick up a bowling ball or something, but Ben had broken it trying to test it some other way.
