NHL caught in gambling scandal

In the last couple of days, the hockey world has been rocked by news that Phoenix Coyotes assistant coach Rick Tocchet has been involved with a gambling syndicate which places bets on various sports, although hockey games are not included in those bets, according to New Jersey police. What makes this story more intriguing is the fact that Janet Jones Gretzky, wife of "The Great One" himself, is also named in this scandal, but hubby Wayne insists he has nothing to do with it. There are a few other hockey players involved that have yet to be named. I heard today that LA Kings forward, and former Coyote, Jeremy Roenick could be one of those players. Stay tuned for more details as they happen. This story will only get better and more juicier with time, yet, as a huge hockey fan, I feel very sad about what damage this could do to the game, as if the NHL needed any more bad publicity.
