I hope he chokes on it. And yes, I am that cynical towards Kayne West.

I am kinda glad to see Mariah not sweeping like people predicted. Mimi was a great comeback for her, but the album really wasn't all that special, a few really good singles and a couple tight album cuts doesn't make a Grammy-worthy record. For female r&b artists, Mary J. Blige has at least 4 albums that I'd consider better than Mimi, including The Breakthrough and for female pop artists, Gwen's album put Mimi to shame last year. L.A.M.B. is the pop/r&b album Mariah should, but never will make. Mimi was a big album but it wasn't exactly a fantastic work of art.

I can see Dr. Jazz over the Album of The Year winner right now. Bono mentioned that's the 2nd time they won that award. The first time was when Sign O The Times didn't win!!!

I would've liked to see Mariah win it. She had a great comeback year. Winning the AOTY Grammy would've put a great cap on it.

Hey, count me in with Dr. Jazz, I AM A HUGE U2 FAN!!!!!!! and they deserve it for always having the artistic talent and coming up with great material. I remember watching the Grammys when "Joshua Tree" was nominated. That was an awesome night for them!!!!! Deja Vu!!!!!!!

even though I am not a rap fan, I am shocked Kanye lost. I wonder if he didn't win based on a backlash over his "I'm GOING to win because I DESERVE it" ego. Mariah didn't really stand a chance because Mimi is not that impressive an album, Gwen's album easily had the upper hand between the two because her cd was consistant and fun and there was a little something for everyone on that record, Mariah basically just recorded a formulaic album that had a few good tracks and sold remarkably well.
