Default Age and ethnicity of everyone?

Hey ya'll!
From reading these message boards, I think that people of different ages and ethnicities were hooked on GT and I think that that is fantastic because GT was a show that not only could make you laugh, but you could also learn some stuff from watching it. Soooooooo.....I guess, I'm curious - what is the age and ethnicity of everyone here? I guess I'll start with me - I'm a 22y/o black female. I started watching GT last summer when they showed the marathon and I am 100% hooked now.

I agree! I've been a fan of GT since the early 80s when I first saw it in reruns. I'm white(/Italian) and 33.

That's how I feel too, that Good Times makes you laugh and you could learn something from it too. I'm a 34 yr old black man, and I used to watch Good Times in reruns in the 80's just for laughs and JJ to say DYNOMITE!!!! Then when it came back on in the late 90's I watched it, and since I was older, realized that you could really learn something about life from some of these episodes. That's the reason I love it now, for the life lessons.

I am a 16 year old Caucasian male who started watching the show about two years ago. I bought the DVDs after watching All in the Family and Sanford and Son and The Jeffersons and instantly fell in love. I love it for similar reasons that you all do - because I learned so many things from it. Much of the reason I wrote my book is because of the impact it had on me.

I really appreciate Good Times, so it got the second largest chapter in my book. I talked about so many of the different things that it taught the public - even things like hypertension.

Some of you say that this is why you like Good Times, so my book might interest you. It is coming out in December 2006 or January 2007, so if you are interested in finding out more, visit my website at www.dear-norman.com. I am putting togehter a mailing list so tell me on this blog if you are interseted or email me at www.dear-norman.com.

I'm 34 and I remember watching Good Times during primetime on CBS as a very young child. I'm a mix of Irish/Scottish/German.

I turned 28 recently. I have been a member of this board for almost six years. I am a black american and cherokee/caucasian on my mother's side. If you saw me, you probably could not tell since I resemble my father more than my mother (who is african-american and indian-american/caucasian).

I remember being age six and watching Good Times on two channels in 1983: WGN channel 9 (Chicago) and WFTS 28(Tampa). Both stations aired the show at 6pm EST/ 5 CST. I never knew which one to watch. LOL.

We are such a diverse group of people watching Good Times! It just shows how far a good show can reach if it transcends all ages, and racial backgrounds!

Hey there... I'm a black female age 45! married mother of 2 girls 9 and 14.

Been watching Goodtimes since it came on, and I was in jr high and high school! I thought it was sometimes depressing and I thought this family was just under a cloud of misfortune, but watching it brings back memories of my childhood!!
