Are you using CloneDVD2 with it? Combine the 2 and with a few clicks you have a Full DVD transcoded and burned in about 20-30 minutes. I agree great program.

I agree. I've used it (Anydvd) about 6 months now. I used to use DVD43 (free) but found it didn't always do the job. No problems (yet) with Anydvd. The one thing I find annoying (in a GOOD way) is that it's continually updated. So about every week or two, I get a notice that there's a new version & I should download it.

Anydvd is great! I think the Trial version is still free for 14 days. Also check out the website afterdawn.com for all your program needs. No its not my website. Wish it was.

If you use DVD shrink but some discs just won't copy, you always get some type of error code, install anydvd and run it while using DVD shrink. Your problems will go away. Great program. I paid for it after the free trial.

Also I have to say I gave in and bout the NERO 7
OH MY GOODNESS I am so glad I did. It has some fantastic features for building dvds, menues, and a setting to covert files, such as PAL etc. OR MPEG and AVI all to one format- Its stunning. But the main thing is it handles ratio changes 4:3 for TV screening and 16:9 for widescreen or hdtv- It handles both So if you can read up on it, I actually borroed it from out studne library and was hooked by weekend begin. Great GREAT program! |

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...d.php?t=163458) but I'm still pretty new to DVD authoring & knew the PAL/NTSC conversion thing is a big issue & figured if Nero did so, it would be talked about more than it is. Does Nero 7 allow you to fully control the way the menu looks? In my version, if I want no thumbnails & simply text boxes (with the episode titles), I can't do it - I have to use one of their layouts. Nor can I control the font size of the episode titles, which end up being so tiny, they are barely legible. But it DOES have very cool themes & lets you easily add motion to the episode buttons, so I like that part.

It seems to me, that it is the RECODE section not the program itself.
I put some files into it last night that were PAL format, and it reuathored them to NTSC then I chose the ration for the screen. Problem is it takes 3 different times, so its quite lengthy. Now as far as menues go, this does allow me quite a few menue options. From how many tiles, to onscreen info, to tittles and back screen drop. I dont se an add music feature, but the rest of the options are pretty nice. I am still learning tho.. |

Well you might also need dvd shrink. See anydvd can remove the protection BUT the files might be to big to fit on a 4.7gb disk. Dvdshrink will also compress the files slightly not enough to really effect quality. Email me and if you need to and I'll walk you through it step by step.

anydvd plus clonedvd2 i think is the best for making dual layer retails into single layer and gets past the protection
