Default Does any NFL fan ever watch the NFL Pro Bowl after the Super Bowl?

I think the last time I watched this horrible event it was 89 or 90. It's boring as hell and it never held my interest.

No, I don't really watch it. If I remember it's on, I might have it on as background noise but I don't really pay attention. I guess after the Super Bowl I'm just ready for a brand new season of football and am not really interested in the best players from the league playing a meaningless game.

I don't watch it either. I think the last time I saw it was 97 or something. In fact I didn't even know it was still around. There is less and less mention of it every year.

Yeah, like LadyJess said, it's a meaningless game, and is usually extremely boring. I don't think Iv'e ever sat through an entire pro Bowl Game.

I think the last time I watched it was when my favorite player Bernie Kosar was in it.

I don't watch the Pro Bowl either, but I always said if they put it in the middle of the season like the NBA, MLB, and NHL All-Star games, it would be more exciting.

Yea but the only problem with that is their might be some injuries and some fans will be pissed if they missed the playoffs because one of their players got hurt in the Pro Bowl. This is really the only way they can do it.

The NFL season isn't long enough like the NBA and NHL to have it in midseason

I know that, but by the time the Pro Bowl hits, the season and the superbowl is gone, so nobody cares who does what in the Pro Bowl. My point is everyone on this thread agrees The Pro Bowl is boring including myself. if it was held in the mid season, the interest would be there. Let's say there would be a bye week for everyone at the beginning of November, and they extend the season by two games, they would be something, but I know it will never happen.

I believe the new CBA in the NHL even does away with the all star game. Where are the NHL fans to confirm this?

The NHL did away with the all-star game this season because they will already be taking a break to allow players to play in the Olympics. The NHL did not want to take two breaks anymore. But the all-star game will be played again in February 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2010, it might be canceled again if the NHL plans to send players to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
