Possible Basement Explanation... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Now everyone knows ther is always inconsistencies in tv show sets and one of them in Roseanne is the basement. In The first 4 Seasons the basement was accessible through the kitchen, then in seasons 5-8 in was accessible though the back porch/mud room, then in the final episode Roseanne used the kitchen again. Now how could the stairs just move like that? well we never actully saw David or Darlene go through a door in the back porch, so I think they went out through the back porch to the yard and down through a hatchway (stairs built in your ground to the basement) now this is a possible explanation but why would they go outside when they could just go through the kitchen, that will never know...?

i'm curious about that too. there's gotta be sum form uv footage where it is explained.
