Smile Bookman warm feeling

I just noticed that Bookman brightens my day/mood when I see him on the camera. His big smile is infectious and happy. he is a funny guy! I get a warm feeling watching him on screen. His smile is a great smile. What a great character!

Bookman had a great smile, but his character irritated the crap out of me.

I liked good ole Buffalo Butt. I just seen the episode where Wilona and the gang get booger fired. He and his wife got the last laugh, well sort of, it was funny.

I've always heard that the actor who played him, Johnny Brown, was a REALLY nice guy. Very down to earth and humble. He probably enjoyed playing someone who was kind of rotten alot of the time, but his own personality would shine through as well-lol

I agree about Bookman, he was such a likeable character after James died. I really enjoyed him in a few episodes that surrounded his character.

He is very good at imitating the voices of famous people. Ben Powers also had the knack to impersonate Johnny Mathis.

I could never understand why they ranked on Bookman about his weight, calling him Buffalo Butt and all the fat jokes. He wasn't that fat.He had a "beer belly" of course, but he certainly was not obese.Even as a kid, back in 1980 me and my friend would relae how we never nderstood how they ranked on Bookman's weight so much.I mean he wasn't really that obese.Certainly not equal to how much they picked on him about his weight.Bookman wasnt that fat.I mean Roseanne Barr John Goodman were fatter.LOL

Bookman was like the Pillsbury Doughboy! When I say that, it was because he would giggle whenever someone (usually Willona) tickled his belly!! That always had me ! Jeff, I totally agree with your post. It doesn't surprise me that Johnny Brown has been said to be a very nice and sweet guy. It always came through even when Bookman was being a jerk.
