.....no one typecast him. There are times where many actors/actresses cannot receive work these days because of it. We didn't look at him as Barney Fife on TC. It just comes to show us how great an actor he is.

omg mr.furly was a GREAT addition to the show.....the way he got scared and blew things out of proportion and his sillyness and arrogant hahahaa was 2nd to none

which begs to question...who did u prefer mr roper or mr furly?? damn thats a HARD one cuz both were hilarrrriouuuuussssss

mr.furly was just so much hyper haha

He didn't go directly ftom TAGS to TC either. He was doing movies and in the 70's some popular Disney movies so I think he was able to get away from the character of Barney better than some of his co-stars who were typecast.

That is so very true I Walk The Line. After Three's company he made appearances on Matlock.

plus he still did movies. He had a great roll in Pleasantville and he still guest stared on sitcoms like Step By Step.
