Wink What's your favorite kind of song ending?

There are quite a few different endings for songs. You have the Final Word/lyric ending, the Fade out end, and the Instrumental ending.

Final word/lyric ending-They say one more line and the song ends. Example, Michael Jackson';s BAD song. He says, "Who's BAD?"(then the song ends)

Fade out-The singer keeps singing the chorus/ one line over and over until the song is finished. Example, Michael Jackson's Wanna Be startin' Somethin. He andthebackup singers say Mama se,mama coo" over and over until the song finishes/gets "lighter"(fades)

Instrumental Ending-The song plays music with no lyrics until the song is over. Example, Kim Wilde's "You Keep Me Hangin On. At the end, the song plays quick uptempo instrumental music then the song finishes.

The fadeout is pretty cool. Elvis Presley did an interesting variation on his last
No. 1 record, "Suspicious Minds," in which the music faded out, faded back in,
and then there was the final fadeout. I don't think anyone else ever did that.

I have a fondness for the endings to 'How's It Going to Be' and 'Jumper' by Third Eye Blind. Something about the guitar feedback and the drum solo does it for me. Too bad the ending to 'Jumper' gets shortened in the radio edit.

All of the songs on Live's 'Throwing Copper' album have interesting, extended endings.

Ace of Base's 'Dancer in a Daydream' goes from a thumping Euro Disco sound to silence and a piano at the end.

Gin Blossom's 'Hey Jealousy' is another one heavy on the feedback.

Both the *full* beginning and ending to Pearl Jam's 'Better Man'.

I like when a song actually has an ending. In other words, I don't prefer a fade out. Right here is one of my newest favorite songs that includes an ending that is rather unexpected when it happens.

God bless you and John always!!!
