Who do you think is the greatest creator of sitcoms ever?

I am going with Michael Jacobs. Jacobs co-created Charles In Charge and was the head writer of the first (and best!) season and co-created and produced Boy Meets World. He also created and produced My Two Dads (well, nobody's perfect).

Norman Lear

He created All In The Family, Sanford And Son, Maude, Good Times, The Jeffersons, ODAAT, Mary Hartman and one of my favorite short lived shows The Powers That Be.

Aaron Spelling. I like all his dramatic series. Dynasty, Knots landing, 90210 etc.

Aaron Spelling didn't create Knots Landing, that was David Jacobs.

Sitcoms:
Thomas Miller and Robert Boyett. They created such shows as Full House, Bosom Buddies, Perfect Strangers, My Two Dads, Family Matters, Step By Step and Two Of A Kind.

Norman Lear of course.

My favorite DRAMA Creator is probably J.J Abbrams: Alias, Felicity, and LOST.

These are also very good:

Aaron Spelling: Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed, 7th Heaven, Charlies Angel's, Savannah, Melrose Place, Starsky and Hutch, and many others. (I like his 90s-Modern Shows)

Michael Crichton and John Wells: ER and Third Watch [Two Of The Best shows in History-IMO; also The West Wing]

Joe Davola, Mike Tollin, and Brian Robbins: Smallville, Birds Of Prey, What I Like About You, and One Tree Hill.

Michael Jacobs does have some great shows...You Can't forget "Dinosaurs". You can never forget that. LOL

even though I am not into AITF and the sort, I wouldn't hesitate to go for Norman Lear... remember, he is somehow linked to One Day At A Time, Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts Of Life and the sort.... some of my favorite sitcoms from the late 70's and 1980's.

Susan Harris was great too if only for Soap and The Golden Girls

I think Bill Lawrence's shows are the best (Scrubs and co-creator of Spin City) - there is another animation show I believe but I can't remember the name nor have I seen it.
