What happened to Basement Artie? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

In the last few KOQ episodes Aurther has not been in, or if he was he was in itfor a very short time. I mean the show needs him. is he sick or just plain tired. if you know why he hasn't been on the show please tell me.

I believe Jerry Stiller is only contracted to do X number of shows per season.

I think you're right jpcanes! Jerry was never really in ALL of the episodes, look back in earlier seasons....

From what I have read he lives in NY and the show is in LA and he is getting up there in age so that could be reasons why they don't have him travel as much. He is left out of a few in the early seasons but in season 7 he was basically non existant which is why the season wasn't very good. Well that and Kevin had to go play movie star. Arthur adds so much to the show though.
