Who here with Direct TV gets WWME on their satellite?
On their website it says it's available on Position 23 - Does this mean only as a local station for Chicago area residents or is it across the country?

me tv isnt on directv
i have direct tv and theres not much on it for non current shows i also looked into getting a free to air sat system, just to get this channel, and of course it isnt avaible there either but a free to air does ofer feeds for about 50 locals, the problem is you must rotate the dish to get a different channel, so theres no way to set a recorder to get various channels the best one could do is set the dish on one sat and record from one channel at various times i have heard that even in areas of chicago that can get it, the station is very low powered and not reliable in its signal direct tv has signed a deal with the sleuth network to carry that at some point, but no on aor date has been set yet |

But I'm curious ...
those in Chicago area with Direct TV that get their locals also from the dish, is the signal (WWME-TV) any better on satellite as opposed to cable subscribers ? |

I get METV, through Comcast digital cable.
But I live in Indiana. I have noticed our station has problems. Sometimes compelte shows run with no sound. Or the picture freezes and sound continues. At times it flickers. ONLY that station. I LOVE the lineup tho- so I record what I can. It has some of the greatest 80's shows-

My boyfriend is in Chicago and it's very rare that we get a good signal. It's basically a sister station to one of the bigger chicago stations and up to now, it doesn't seem like much attention has been paid to it. Hopefully, that will eventually change but I tend to think it won't.
