Military man claims he had affair with Clay Aiken - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The story is in the Enquirer issue out today nationwide.

"He is getting death threats from Clay's fans," a friend of Paulus tells PAGE SIX. "After his name was leaked on a couple of gossip Web sites, he's been getting threats. But he's also gotten calls from gay porn directors who want to cast him in a movie, kind of what happened after John Wayne Bobbitt got famous."

Paulus, 38, passed a polygraph test administered by the Enquirer in an attempt to corroborate his bombshell claim that he had sex with Aiken at a Quality Inn in Garner, N.C., on Jan. 2. In the new Enquirer, Paulus claims he and Aiken had 90 minutes of man-on-man passion at the hotel, which is near Aiken's hometown of Raleigh, N.C.

The muscle-bound ex-soldier says Aiken contacted him after seeing his picture on the Internet : "I have several personal ads on gay men Web sites," he told the Enquirer. "Clay later told me he saw my pictures on a couple and decided to e-mail me. On Dec. 16, using the screen name of 'valleyprettyboy,' Clay sent me his first message.

"He wrote, 'Hey man, [i] see you're online. I'm 26 years old from Raleigh and would love to talk. I have pics but I have a very recognizable face and I can't post the pics. I would be happy to send them to you if you can promise absolute discretion."

Paulus added that in later e-mails, Aiken "told me that he had just come out of the closet to his mother and a few close friends last year. He told me that he was single again, having broken up with his boyfriend about five months ago."

Aiken has always maintained that he is straight, but in 2003 he told Diane Sawyer on ABC's "Primetime Live," "I have some very effeminate qualities." His spokesman, Roger Widynowkski, declined to comment on the Enquirer story yesterday.

I am shocked some people are so surprised. I saw Clay on Entertainment Tonight a few months ago and he is a total nellie queen if such a thing exists. Plus, remember how many people screamed homophobia when Clay lost in 2003. George Michael was a much more convincing "straight man" than Clay.

The whole story is bs - the National Enquirer?! I mean, give me a break. Whatever 'gay vibes' Clay sends out or whatever, I dont care. He said he was straight and Ill believe him until he does decide to come out or whatever, and if and when he does Ill still love and support him.

You people should see the posts and such on Clay board. Fans are honestly crying over this ****.. its a tabloid! The way his fans react sometimes just makes my head spin.

I just can't believe people are sending hate mail to this guy!!

I hope if this ever turns out to be true, each and every one of those people sends an apology just as quickly as they sent something rude.

On another note, I wanted to see if this guy was actually hot or not, so I Googled him--all that came up was a bunch of pictures of the Pope. True story.

I agree, I don't understand the point of sending hate mail. Come on, this is 2006, people are aware that gay and lesbian celebrities exist, so why send someone hate mail for it? The guy said he had sex with Clay Aiken, not that he saw Clay Aiken molest a child, or rape somebody. I mean, seriously, this really shouldn't be such a big issue nowadays. Plus, like it or not, Clay is as queeny as they come. I never watched him on idol but I have seen interviews and he totally reminds me of a femme homosexual, I am much less feminine or prissy than Clay will ever be. Clay hardly has this butch macho image he's upholding, he's just afraid that coming out will hurt his popularity (same happened with Boy George in the 1980's, and in hindsight, how was that NOT obvious from the moment he stepped onstage?), and considering all these little girls are sending hate mail, apparently it gives him reason to stay closeted.

Who really cares if Clay Aiken is gay? Who cares if he'd rather make out with boys then girls? Who cares?

It shouldn't affect his poularity...... He's a good singer, and shamefully(in a slightly good way), he's done more than Ruben Studdard and Ruben was the winner, while Clay was the runner up.
