Four Hurt in Accident on 'All My Children'

NEW YORK (AP) - Four stunt artists were hurt in a special-effects accident on the set of the soap opera "All My Children," the ABC show said Friday.

"Unfortunately, during a shoot which included planned special effects, four stunt people were injured," the show said in a statement. "All four are expected to make a swift recovery."

The accident occurred Tuesday at a studio on West 66th Street. The daytime show had publicized upcoming Mardi Gras episodes that included "an explosion that rocks Pine Valley and its residents."

Now, let me be funny here. An explosion that rocks Pine Valley and its residents...Oh man, that really did happen...except in real life.

I was shocked when I heard about this. Glad no one was hurt.

I, for one, can't wait to see this thing when it airs! According to some who saw the TV reports on the explosion, it looks REAL!

I saw the explosion at the Mardi Gras masquerade ball this past week on AMC and the special effects were amazing and very realistic. I can see how some of the stunt doubles were actually injured during the taping.

Today's ep was very good. I felt soo bad for Simone. JR is a nut...I felt the need to say that for some reason.
