Michael Self was convicted of murdering Sharon Shaw and Rhonda Johnson in the early 1970's, in Webster, TX. The case aired yesterday on Lifetime. Does anyone know of any updates in this case?

I would definitely like to know if there's an update to this case. I've seen the story a few times and believe he's innocent. I can't believe they won't give him a retrial with all the evidence. It's unbelievable!

Yeah I feel he was innocent too. He kind of looked like a younger Al Bundy. I think that the police used him as a pawn to try to make names for themselves. Also interesting to know the cops ended up doing jail time for robbery. The whole case seemed wrong to me.

If anyone has any legal knowledge in this regard I would like to know. I've been through paralegal school at the college level, but that is the extent of my knowledge/training. |

Well, I'm IN law school and I would love to offer insight on this case... but I'm unfamiliar with it.

I'm a lawyer but not in the criminal area so I also can't offer any special insight. I wonder if in face of the strong evidence seeking relief from the executive branch of the state government would be an option.
