It could have been, we were talking about it at work and was laughing at how fuuny it would be if someone actually said that in real life

Yeah, that line was hilarious. I crack up everytime I see that episode. They just showed that episode on TV Land a couple of nights ago. It's the episode where Fred has the dream and wins the money from betting the numbers from the "dream book" and then everybody asks him for money. LOL!

Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch

That line was funnt as hell. No matter how many times I watch that episode, I always laugh at that one. It was in "By the Numbers" (season 2). Bubba lost his money betting on a "sure thing" from a dream HE had.

BUBBA: Can you let me have five dollars, Fred?

FRED: (with a sour look on his face) You caught me at a BAD time, Bubba. I GOT it.

The thing I don't understand is, in that episode Aunt Ethel said she had most of the money for her operation. You mean to tell me she couldn't get operated on with MOST of the money?! Someone her age even in the '70s didn't have medical insurance?!

Good catch. Also, I always wondered were they SCAMMING Fred or did they really need the money? When Bubba is listening at the kitchen door and then runs back to the couch to sit down it looks very suspicious. But I didn't know if he just wanted to know if he would get it or if he was SCAMMING

I think Lamont had something to do with it because he sure as hell was more concerned that Fred.

I also like what Fred said at the end: "This time when I win, I leaving from the poolhall straight to the airport". LOL
