Default One Tree Hill On CW

Do you guys think One Tree Hill has a chance of getting picked up next year for the New CW Network??? All the talk seems to be that WB shows "Smalvlille", "Gilmore Girls", and "Reba", have futures ahead of them, and "Everybody Hates Chris", "Top Model", and "Veronica Mars" form UPN . Nothings really been said about One Tree Hill, Everwood,Supernatural, etc.

God I hope so.

I hope that the majority of returning shows are from WB, and that UPN's current shows are in the minority.

In a perfect world, though, ALL of our current favorites would return.

Let's cross our fingers!!

When the CW network was mentioned in the news on The Daily Buzz this morning, they showed a clip of what looked like the heads of the network talking about it. They showed tiny clips of at least three shows that would air this fall. OTH was one of them. In an article I read, it said Smallville would return.

Oh. Smallville's definately returning. Their ratings are really good this year. Tree Hill's on the other hand, aren't..With the 8pm slot, the move to wednesdays, and the whole Chad Michael and Sophia thing, OTH lost alot of their viewers last fall. Things look alittle better now, but not much...Hopefully the heads of the CW Net know what's good for them, and brings Tree Hill back.

Right now OTH is rated below GG, Smallville, Everwood, and Supernatural so It's probably 50-50.

So Everwood's doing better than One Tree Hill???..Sorry, but if it comes down to a toss up between the two, it's time for Tree Hill to pack their bags.

Amen!

I love OTH...it's a great show and everything, but if it comes down to it, Everwood wins my vote everytime!

people forget that OTH is in a timeslot where Smallville wasn't doing so hot in itself, yet now Smallville's getting its best ever ratings and is the #2 show on the network.

Plus, I think OTH hit a backlash this season from viewers turned off over Chad and Sophia's divorce. I think WB/CW should stand by the show and give it one more shot because it's getting better as the season is progressing and I've heard ratings are starting to improve.

In a Article I read at talk.thewb.com at the Tree Hill board somewhere it talked about the stupid merge and Gilmore Girls, and Smallville going there. And also favorites like America's Next Top Model,Beauty and Geek,Everybody Hates Chris,One Tree Hill etc.Just repeating what I read and if there was a commercial for Tree Hill than yes it must be moving and no it does not need to pack it's bags.

I think it's silly to stop watching a show just because the Two castmembers split up.If they were watching for that reason and now stopped because they split.Than those viewers are being silly .Because that is just silly and a stupid reason not mention ridiculous.

I would be bummed out if Tree Hill didn't make it to the CW. This season has been shaky, but is starting to get better [especially yesterday episode, and I read the spoilers and the upcoming episodes seem to be awesome]. The timeslot that was given to Tree Hill isn't the best one.. because like Hung Up said.. Smallville struggled in that timeslot last year but now is doing great. Even if Tree Hill was only renewed for 13 episodes next season.. Id be glad because it would not compete against Top Model and Tree Hill will have a chance to prove itself.

Well if this is the final season of One Tree Hill, they better let them know so they don't leave us hanging on forever to some stupid cliffhanger...And if the OTH writers are smart, they'd begin to wrap everything up now, and if they're renewed, just work from there next year.

The Wedesday time slot probably wouldn't have afftected the show if Chad Michael and Sophia didn't break up. Some people are just dumb. As long as their breakup doesn't affect thier acting ability on the show, or the show itself, then people should just watch. There's no reaseon to stop watching. That's their personal life, and as far as I can tell, it hasn't really affected the series.

Smallville did horrible on Wednesdayus because LOST kicked it's ass last year. What exactly is Tree Hill's competition?? Top Model????.....Dawsson's Creek was moved to Wednesdays @8:00 beginning with their second season, and that's when the show really started to expand their audience. It was one of the top rated shows on The WB (seasons 2-5), and there was more competition back then....They probably thought Tree Hill would do well in Dawson's old timeslot, because alot of the Dawson fans came onboard OTH when it ended it's run in 2003.

The whole Chad/Sopha break up affecting the ratings, I agree...it's very dumb, but I guess it kinda reflects what happened to Kerri Russel in Felicity when she cut her hair. So stupid how something so small and personal in an actor or actress's life can affect how well a show does.

To me, yeah, like BBoy said, as long as it doesn't affect the quality of the show, then it's their business. And I agree as sickening as it is, Brooke and Lucas seem to be going strong for now...I still haven't seen Wednesday's episode because I had a huge exam today, so don't tell me what happens lol!
