As a whole, Mash was a great show... with the exception of the self absorbed Hawkeye... Hawkeye goes to the peace talks, Hawkeye saves every soldier, hawkeye gets blinded, hawkeye sneezes etc etc. No wonder Trapper left. Not to mention Hawkeyes smug sexual innuendos to EVERY nurse.. my god it is sickening. Mash would have been alot better if they toned his carachter down more....
I like early-years Hawkeye, but later-years Hawkeye needed a permanent discharge. He is one of my least favorite characters. I still like him, I just like the other characters a lot better. (Except for BJ when he's whining about how much he misses his wife and kid.)
