Default If You Were In Charge of Putting Togethger "The Complete Saved By The Bell DVD"...

What all would you include?

As for me:

I would release them in Two Volumes.

Volume 1
The package would look like a row of lockers. The first "Locker" would contain "Good Morning, Miss Bliss: The Complete Series". Aside from the 13 episodes, it would also include the unaired pilot episode. All of the episodes would include the original opening credits. The DVD would also include brand new interviews with Haley Mills, Dennis Haskins, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Lark Voorhies, Dustin Diamond, Heather Hopper and Max Battimo. Another bonus would be all of the Zack openings made for syndication. Those are optional to watch with the episodes. It would be a two disc set.

The second "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The Complete First Season." It would include all 20 episodes (from my SBTB order). They would have their original openings. Bonuses for this set would include original NBC promos for Saved by the Bell. Also a brand new interview with the cast, inlcluding: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Voorhies, Ed Alonzo and Dennis Haskins.

The third "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The Complete Second Season." It would include all 13 episodes (from my SBTB order). They would have their original openings. Bonuses for this set would include original NBC promos for Saved by the Bell. Also a brand new interview with the cast, including: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Voorhies and Dennis Haskins.

The fourth "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The Complete Third Season." It would include all 32 episodes (from my SBTB order). They would have their original openings. Bonuses for this set would include original NBC promos for Saved by the Bell. Also two brand new interviews with the cast. The first interview would be with the school cast: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Voorhies and Dennis Haskins. The second would be with the beach cast: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Voorhies, Leah Remini and Ernie Sabella.

The fifth "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The Complete Fourth Season." It would include all 21 episodes (from my SBTB order). They would have their original openings. Bonuses for this set would include original NBC promos for Saved by the Bell. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Voorhies, Leanna Creel and Dennis Haskins.

The sixth "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The College Years (Complete Series)". It would include all 19 episodes. Bonuses for this set would include original NBC promos for Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Anne tremko, Kiersten Warren and Bob Golic.

The seventh "Locker" would contain two DVDs. "Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style", the complete uncut movie. That would include promos and a commentary from Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies and Mario Lopez. The second disc would include "Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas", the complete uncut movie. That would include promos and a commentary from Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies and Mario Lopez.

Volume 2
The package would look like a row of lockers. The first "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The New Class (Season 1)." It would include all 13
episodes (from my TNC order). Bonuses would include original NBC promos for the first season. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Robert Sutherland Telfer, Jonathan Angel, Isaac Lidsky, Natalia Cigliuti, Bianca Lawson, Bonnie Russavage and Dennis Haskins.

The second "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The New Class (Season 2)." It would include all 26 episodes (from my TNC order). Bonuses would include original NBC promos for the second season. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Jonathan Angel, Natalia Cigliuti, Bianca Lawson, Christian Oliver, Spankee Rodgers, Sarah Lancaster, Dustin Diamond and Dennis Haskins.

The third "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The New Class (Season 3)." It would include all 26 episodes (from my TNC order). Bonuses would include original NBC promos for the third season. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Jonathan Angel, Natalia Cigliuti, Sarah Lancaster, Richard Lee Jackson, Salim Grant, Samantha Becker, Dustin Diamond and Dennis Haskins.

The fourth "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The New Class (Season 4)." It would include all 26 episodes (from my TNC order). Bonuses would include original NBC promos for the fourth season. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Sarah Lancaster, Richard Lee Jackson, Samantha Becker, Ben Gould, Anthony Harrell, Lindsey McKeon, Dustin Diamond and Dennis Haskins.

The fifth "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The New Class (Season 5)." It would include all 26 episodes (from my TNC order). Bonuses would include original NBC promos for the fifth season. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Richard Lee Jackson, Samantha Becker, Ben Gould, Anthony Harrell, Lindsey McKeon, Ashley Ca***na, Dustin Diamond and Dennis Haskins.

The sixth "Locker" would contain "Saved by the Bell: The New Class (Seasons 6 & 7)." It would include all 26 episodes (from my TNC order). Bonuses would include original NBC promos for the sixth and seventh seasons. Also, a brand new interview with the cast: Samantha Becker, Ben Gould, Anthony Harrell, Lindsey McKeon, Ashley Ca***na, Tom Wade Huntington, Dustin Diamond and Dennis Haskins.

That's Volumes 1 & 2 or you could buy both together (the original series gets red lockers, while the new class gets orange lockers). It would cost an awful lot, though. However, if you did buy them both together, you'd get two free comic books. One from the original class and one from the new class (Season 1's cast).

I don't think there could be any improvement over what you've come up with. Only thing I would add is a nice, detailed booklet for each volume/locker with episode summaries, original airdates and tons of pictures. I know there were alot of promotional shoots and I'd like to see some more of the rare photos of all the casts.

By the way, you should seriously consider getting into dvd set producing with your ideas.

That's a great idea. I've never thought of that before. I know some of these shows need a good fan to be working for them. For example "Sliders". The DVDs kind of suck. And the order of the episodes are Broadcast order. However, if you watch "Sliders" you know that Production Order is the way to go. Broadcast order screws up the storyline. If a fan worked there, he/she could mention "Here's the fan prefered order." or something like that.

BTW, I really wish they would re-release "Saved by the Bell" the way I have it listed there. Plus with your booklet idea.

Just for the record: Saved by the Bell comics really exist. Although I havent seen one since 1994. The last issue I read, had the first season of "The New Class" in it.

Yeah, at the very least companies should take on one or two serious fans of a series as consutants when putting dvd sets together, if they want to make their product more appealing to the fans who buy them. Reading some of the ideas you've come up with for various releases, I wish you were in charge of some of them.

I never knew any SBTB comic books existed.

Yeah. Not many, maybe five or six. The first few were from the senior year of the original class. The last couple were from the first season of the new class. Then they just dissappeared. I haven't been able to find them online or anything. But I remember owning a couple back in the day.

I have been able to find old novels from "The New Class." There are a few from seasons one and two. They're selling those at Amazon.

BTW, if a company did decide to go with MY order for any of the shows, I'd check and re-check the order before giving it to them. I'd hate to get the DVD and watch it and notice an error I made.
