Who remembers the "CLEROW WILSON" cartoons? At the height of THE FLIP
WILSON SHOW's popularity, NBC aired two animated specials based on Flip's childhood, using his real name: "CLEROW WILSON AND THE MIRACLE OF P.S. 14" (Nov. 12, 1972) and "CLEROW WILSON'S GREAT ESCAPE" (April 3, 1974). Each show was only aired twice and neither show has ever been released on video. In the second special, Flip supplied all the characters' voices. The shows were produced by DePatie-Freleng (of Pink Panther fame). |
