Stephen King’s “Desperation” will air as a one time only telecast on Thursday, May 18, 2006 in the 8:00 - 11:00 PM ET/PT time period on ABC.

There's a place along Interstate 50 that some call the loneliest place on Earth. It's known as Desperation, Nevada. It's not a very nice place to live. It's an even worse place to die. Let the battle against evil begin.

There have been some good TV adaptations of King's books (It, Salem's Lot) and some bad (The Tommyknockers, The Langoliers), so we'll see how this one turns out!
