This show was and still is very demeaning to African Americans! That's why it was taken off the air back in the 50's and you'll never see it on tv! I don't like this show!!

A good friend of mine, and a former co-worker, loves the show. She has the
entire series on DVD (I found it for her on eBay). Oh, did I mention that my friend is African-American?

that is just your opinion Woolworth27. Some people could say Gilligan's Island is racist because there isn't an African American castaway. That is just there opinion too.

This is a public message board so when I see someone calling another member a racist it is my business. I've never seen this show but I've read a lot about it and their are many African-American people who don't consider the show racist.

I think you better read the rules of posting. It specifically states you cannot go to a forum just to bash/hate, etc. If you have a problem with the show, then so be it, but you can't go from forum to forum being negative abt everything.
Now I know why I hate the tvland boards so much...the stragglers always come here and start stuff.

When will we see you next? On Different World Forum? Cosby Show Forum? My mother the car? "Man that show is nothing but hatred towards cars!!!!!!"
