1. It was something different for a change. I liked the comedy, sorta laidback.
2. They weren't poor and struggling like Good Times. They weren't rich, but well off. Everyone looked clean, LOL. 3. They had friends. 4. Raj and friends were at least shown in school or working. 5. Everyone liked the mother, including Dwayne and Rerun. 6. Mother believed in (an did) give beatings. 7. Shirley was perfect for the show. 8. Their insults were funny. HOWEVER, they watered the show down big time and was never the same after the added cast members. If they would've stuck with the main core, it might've stayed on longer. |

i agree with u....re run;s dance...."hey hey hey"....raj was funny too...dee was VERY funny where shes so unpredictable and keep a str8 serious face....mable has good insults too and i liked her temper....but when they started showing "what's happening now" thats when it was a wrap for me
