I'd say the average SBTB fan would say no. But there are a few of us (me included) that quite enjoy "The New Class."

In my opinion, season two is the best season of the series. Season 1 is Screech-less and really just a bad carbon copy of the original show. Except none of the actors are really that good and the plots are kind of thin.

Also, seasons two through six (or seven, however you look at it) have a remodeled Bayside. Belding has a nice big office with a window.

I didn't give it much of a chance because I only loved the original SBTB... the new one is just a rip off and the characters are nowhere near as good.

I enjoyed most of it, but you HAVE to judge it on it's own merits. Nothing was going to match the original. I think the TNC really starting hitting it's stride in the third season with the introduction of Ryan who was probably the best male character on the show. Maria is also introduced and she's there to the last season. Starting with the season four it's much easier to follow as the infamous cast changes settle down. It just made for a better overall show at that point since by having most of the same characters around they could carry over storyline elements from season to season.

I didnt like the first season too much but i guess seeing screech in season 2 again made it more subtle. By the way, I loved Maria Lopez! She was so hot and I am glad she stayed on for the rest of the seasons too

Cool

The New Class was excellent and the girls was beautiful and the guys was handsome and I was glad Samuel "Screech" Powers came back to Bayside to help out being Mr. Belding's assistant. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give the New Class a 15.

The New Class is a good show. As someone said in an earlier post, the show got good in Season 3. I like the Ryan, Maria, Liz, Katie eps best. But as people have mentioned, the show isn't as great as the original. Some episodes were better, IMO, but as an overall series, I'll have to say the original...As far as being a Knockoff of SBTB, I will say that Season 1- the worst Season ever!, was that. They even had their own Zack and Screech (Scott and Weevil). It even went as far as them dressing like the old cast, and Scott talking to the home audience, like Zack did. Scott is the worst character from the entire series, IMO. I can't stand him. And he couldn't act at all!....But anyway, the show gets better, and might even surpass the original at one point. And about Screech...Alot of the fans loved his addition, I DID NOT! I thought he was one of the most annoying characters on TV. He just became dumb, and his voice would go through my head.

By the way, the TNC kids were a bit hotter than the original kids.

Fot the show overall, on a scale from 1-10, I give it an 8. (Seasons 1 and 2...ugh)

Damn!! You're the first person who seems to agree 100% with how I feel about the show, from the bad first season, to Screech, to the kids. Are you my twin?

I think we're the only SBTB fans to not like Screech. I loved him on SBTB (Not so much the last season), but I just didn't like him at all on TNC.

What about the kids? That they're better looking? Zack, Lisa, and Kelly were all very good looking. I thought the others weren't, LOL...Is that what ur talking about, about "The Kids?"
