This is a new series from the Discovery Channel (premeires on 1/17/06 10pm) that I am totally stoked about.
It follows real-life Firefighters (forest and grass fires, not city fires) as they tackles the latest disasters.

Episode #1: The Burnout
From early July to late October, fire makes its annual march south from the Pacific Northwest to southern California's doorstep in a campaign of devastation. The only thing standing in fires way are the gritty warriors: the fighters who battle the fire.

This line of work is one I've always been curious about, transfixed with, and thank the lucky stars I never have to do. It'll be awesome to follow this series.
