If there are 3 apples and you take away 2, how many do you have?
2, you took them, remember?

k so i get what their saying but that doesnt make sense. "take away" means take them away, like subtract them. "take them with you" would be the correct one.

Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. What is the answer?
70, (30 divided by 1/2 equals 60! Takes some thinking.....

^^that one doesnt make sense either

i know but some of the trick questions didnt make sense. i think they tried too hard.

the key word is "take", meaning being them to yourself; as opposed to "putting them away".

as far as the other one, 30 divided by 1/2 is 60...30 TIMES 1/2 is 15, and 30 divided by 2 is 15; 1/2 goes in to 30, 60 times.

i got 10/11 by the way.
