Is there a way to convert .wav files to .mp3? I have a song that I want to put up on my bands page and it's in wav and myspace only accepts .mp3.

If any one can help this computer ******** girl that would be AWESOME (but not as awesome as Chris Farley).....

They are not free? Oh man.... I thought they were. I must've not been paying attention. Sorry.

This one says it's free. Just click on "Free Download" on the upper right hand side. I believe it's just the free version is a trial version.

bladeenc is free and good http://bladeenc.mp3.no/ - but it is a command line interface (there are graphical front-ends for it though)
