Janet Wood has just been dumped by her boyfriend Jarrod. The worst part? She finds out she's pregnant with his baby. Luckily, her friends Terri Alden and Jack Tripper are there to support her. Will Jack offer to claim the child as his own in his love for Janet, or will Jarrod come back and beat him to it?

Janet Wood parked her little red car outside the apartment building she lived in with her roomates, Jack Tripper and Terri Alden. She wiped at her mascara stained face. Her boyfriend of 2 years, Jarrod Somers, had just informed her that he was leaving her for a younger woman. Janet slammed her hand against the steering wheel and sobbed angrily. She jumped as she heard a soft tap on the window. The blue-green eyes of her roomate and best friend Terri searched her own deep brown ones. She opened the car door and sniffed as she looked at her friend's concerned face. "Don't worry Ter, I'm fine." She mumbled quickly as she bounded up the stairs. Terri followed her helplessly, a worried look on her face. Janet opened the door to their apartment and saw Jack dosing on the couch. She droped her purse on the floor, making sure that it was loud enough to wake him up. He jumped in surprise. "Men!" She practically growled at him as she made a B-line for the bathroom. "What's with her?!" Jack asked Terri, a puzzled look on his face. "Beats me." Terri shrugged, "She won't tell me."

Janet leaned over the toilet and emptied the contents of her stomach. Jarrod had made her so upset that she had gotten sick to her stomach, she thought. Terri knocked softly on the door. "Come In." Janet managed to say. "Are you ok?" Terri asked as she grabbed a cold rag and dabbed it across Janet's forehead. "I'll be fine." Janet assured her, managing a small smile. Terri wasn't convenced, but decided not to pry. After she left, Janet leaned against the bathroom wall. "What a day." She mumbled.
