Default What foreign languages do you speak, write?

I am very fluent in speaking spanish. I am hispanic. Therefore, yo sabe mucho espanol y tambien puedo escribrir. We speak mainly english here in my house and the house I grew up in, but like at family functions or dinners, it was spanish. I like being able to speak and read another language, but it got on my nerves when I used to work way back in the dayz in retail, and customers who I knew could speak english would speak to me in spanish. I now know that they were just comfortable speaking a language that is their main language. I would speak back to them in english and they understood me.

Besides English, I took many years of French in high school and college (although I need a refresher to speak it properly). I really should learn Estonian since it's my family's native language.

Nice! Though you need a lot of time with Estonian because it's not an Indo-European language (meaning that grammar and vocab wise, it's very different than languages like English, German, Italian, Russian, etc.) Though it'd so be worth it cause Estonia is a great place to visit. Beautiful country!

As for me, I pretty much would have majored in lingustics, but I decided to go the architctural route and keep the language thing as a hobby.

Yo habia estudiando espanol por 6 anos y ahora no estoy estudiando espanol. Pero puede hablar muy bueno si quiere. ( I studied Spanish for 6 years and now I'm not studying it anymore. But I can still speak it pretty good when I want to.)

Heute bin ich in die Schule Deutsch lernen. Nicht ist so schwierig wie Spanisch oder anderen Sprachen dass habe ich gelernt, aber es ist meine Lieblingssprache. (Today, I'm studying German. It's not as hard as Spanish or other languages that I have learned, but it's my favorite.)

No i w domu z rodzicami albo z kumplami sie mowi po Polsku. Tak sie nauczylem od rodzenia i tak bedzie, prawo podobnie, to koncza, az ja byk nigdy nie chcialem miec inaczej. (And at home or with my friends, it's all in Polish. That's how I was taught since birth and that's how it's going to be, most likely, til the end, as I would never want to be any othert way.)

Next on my roster is Croatian. I know some Italian through my Spanish, but not enough to hold a conversation. And then I'd like to dable in something that uses another alphabet, such as Greek or Ukrainian.

I can read & write Spanish perfectly, mainly because I've been taking Spanish since 1st grade (it is a requirement in my school).

English is the primary language - know it quite well. I know a little spanish (from the one semester of HS Spanish I paid attention in), and just a tiny amount of French (hence why those are the two languages I want to brush up on - they're the two I have any foundation in already)

Spanish. I took two years of it in high school and two semesters in community college (I'm taking a third this fall). Two of my sisters took it (one of them minored in it in college) and my other two sisters took French. I never really felt that there was a need for French, unless I planned on either living in or near Montreal or France. I have no plans to do both.

I can speak and understand Italian only because my dad is Italian and my grandma speak it a lot, and I grew up around it. I wish I could speak Spanish, that's one course I should have taken in College or High School.

I speak Portuguese fluently. I can also read in Portuguese, but I can't write in it. I can't really speak Spanish, but I can understand it.
