if he's in college a night out
if he's into sports maybe tickets or equipment
for significant other a romantic night at home or out then home - if its done right he will remember it

Hmmm. You can never go wrong with a gift card or something, we don't typically like a lot of extra stuff that takes up room. Unless it can be eaten, of course.

Anything sports related is usually good, if the guy is into it.

oh, and for one anniversary (i can't remember which one), i made him a big home made meal of all his favs... country fried steak, turnip greens, and pinto beans wit corn bread.
